We're Not Done Moving Through the Veils of Political Illusion
On the Republican Side, we have certainly moved through several veils of political illusion, all of it supported by the mass media of course, and we are not done yet.
It should not be lost on us that the Mass Media drives the creation of these Mirages on the Horizon of the American Desert of Allegiance to First Principle.
First, it looked like Rudy Giuliani was going to be the front runner. That illusion was fractured.
Then, it was Mike Huckabee who came out of nowhere and was trumpeted as the one with the big mo. That illusion was fractured.
Then, it looked like Mit Romney was the man. That illusion was fractured.
And Then, all of sudden, John McCain rises into the spotlight, and now he seems like the sure winner of the nomination. But I believe this is another poltical illusion. And I believe it is wise to follow the trend. I predict that illusion will fracture as well.
How will it come to pass?
On the Democrat side, the writing is on the wall. The Democrat Party is pretty much split right down the middle between the supporters of Clinton and Obama. But because there is great uncertainty that a black American with NO EXPERIENCE could be elected to the white house on the wings of beautiful words alone, and he is a great speaker, Hillary Clinton will eak out a victory at the Democrat Convention. The realistic people in the party will continue to stand behind her. And she will get the Nomination. To unify the party behind her, she will proclaim Obama as her running mate, and all the Democrats will swoon in the euphoria of victory, having two firsts on one ticket, a woman and a black American. The logic will appeal to every Democrat. If Obama supporters cannot get all they want in this election cycle, they will get 90% of it, with the promise that after two terms as a vice president, Obama will be set to run for the big office in 2012. What a scene of unity and enthusiasm will the Democrat Party give to the nation.
Now, this scenario will be more and more telegraphed to the American people in the months leading up to the Conventions, and way before then, all the polls will present this combination juxtaposed to McCain. Howard Dean, chair of the DNC has already referred to an "arrangement". And as this idea, driven by the media, sinks more and more into the American mind, McCain's standing in this matchup will steadily drop. And drop to a frightening level, and this will be well before the late summer Conventions. Let's face it. McCain is an angry white male. On surface appearances alone, the majority will reach for and pick up a sugar donut off the plate, before they will pick up a burned piece of steak.
Remember Reagan. He had a pleasant personality. McCain does not. Reagan's past was like a rainbow that glowed in his wake. As to McCain's past, it is filled with scenes of horrifying destruction no matter how you want to spin it, the flames are there. Hillary herself out does McCain on this point by a wide margin. Obama, well, he is a very polished lawyer trained to woo the hearts of the jurors. And he speaks with passion and poetry to the hearts of those who he sees as the oppressed. It is an amazing thing to watch, how an empty suit can so thoroughly fan the flames of hope in the gullible. But there it is.
Because of these national poll results, the entire Republican Party will be weak in the knees in regards to a McCain nomination many weeks before the Republican National Convention.
And Look out for the straw that will break the Camels back.
The Democratic National Convention will be held in Denver from August 25 -28. On the evening of August 28, the above scenario will have played itself out, and the entire nation will be abuzz with the unified enthusiasm of the entire Democrat Party.
And before the Republicans gather for their convention in Minneapolis/St Paul, September 1 - 4, more polls will be out showing McCain practically dead in the water in this matchup.
The Republicans will enter their Convention totally demoralized. And they will have a stomach full of the sharp pointed arrows which have found their target in their candidate. The candidacy of McCain will be wheeled into this convention on a stretcher, with IV bottles and tubes accompanying him.
There will be no enthusiasm for McCain. None. Delegates are not committed, as you know, to political suicide. The delegates will not support him given another choice, and that choice will be within easy reach.
What is that choice?
It is the Fred Thompson / Condi Rice matchup. The people at the convention will clamor for his service. And he will answer the call.
Thompson will expose the emptiness of Clinton. And Rice will expose the emptiness of Obama. And the Republicans will go on to win the White House in 2008.
All circumstances point to this possibility.
You can help make it happen if you Keep the Hope Alive, and continue to ask God our Father for his intercession. For those of you who have not yet taken a look at the suggested prayers and the prayer cards provided at The Fredhead Chapel, now is the time to check it out.
Unfortunately for the Republican Party,
But Fortunately for our Country, A Closer
Look at McCain's Past is Inevitable
As it becomes more and more clear that McCain is headed for the Republican nomination, the people will start taking a closer and closer look at his past. None of this has to come out of the mouth of the Democrats. Review the material which is available on the Internet. Several things will come to the fore of the people's awareness.
Most prominently among them was McCain's fight with the POW/MIA community. Nothing attracts attention like controversy. In the midst of this interesting piece of history, the people will find that McCain was up front leading the charge for the normalization of relations with Communist Vietnam from the early 1980's. And that the McCain/Kerry alliance in the mid 1990's gave Bill Clinton the political cover he required to normalize trade relations. (And this is what stripped out of our hands any further leverage that could pry POW/MIA information out of the hands of the Vietnamese Communists - the factor that destroyed the POW/MIA community's trust for McCain). Through all of this a question lingers in the minds of everyone. If McCain was so horribly tortured by the North Vietnamese Communists, why did he go out of his way to be the very best friend they could have ever hoped for on the American Political Scene? Why? Normalization of Trade Relations means a higher standard of living for the Communist Dictators who Rule Vietnam today. And gives them the hard currency they need to make their internal security forces more lethal. Where is the honor in being buddy-buddy with a communist dictator class which keeps the best friends of freedom that Vietnam has locked in cold dungeons? McCain is full of hatred for his (US) domestic political enemies, and will not stop at any length in his quest to trash them. But those who (supposedly) physically tortured him, he wants to be friends? This simply does not compute. If he counseled a hard line against the Communists, that would compute. But this friendly tack, in relationship to those who ought to remain one's enemies, even as they themsleves remain the enemies of freedom, a tack which instead makes enemies of those who are supposed to be your real friends, fellow POW's and MIA families, this does not compute. This speaks to the possibility that he is not telling us the whole truth about what they did to him. It speaks to the possibility that he greatly exaggerated, or fabricated, in this area to better serve his political ambitions. Who is there to deny his story? The Communist Vietnamese. No, he has made them very happy. No documents will emerge from them that will cast a shadow on his own report. And of course, this uncertainty as to what is the real truth ties into the character of McCain's prime political backer in Arizona, who it turned out, fabricated an entire military career out of whole cloth. Where there is smoke, more often than not, there is fire. All of these things will come under a microscope in the days ahead. And what euphoria there is among the Republican field in the prospect that McCain can emerge the victor in this presidential campaign, will be like a balloon pierced by a thousand needles of realistic and pragmatic concern which no conscience of good will can shake for long.
This balloon of Republican McCain-related euphoria may be punctured much sooner, rather than later. For in the midst of the POW/MIA controversy spoken of above, there exists a solid thread of unethical behavior, and perhaps even illegal behavior, on the part of John McCain which the Democrats could pull on, drawing it out bit by bit, bringing the whole mess into the spotlight for all the people to see. In the early 1990's Senator Kerry and McCain formed a team intent on suppressing the POW/MIA concerns of the families who still had family members unaccounted for. This stance made them some lifelong enemies in the POW/MIA community. Those who sincerely felt their interests betrayed by McCain/Kerry. And they spoke out vociferously against what the Kerry/McCain duo were trying to do in this respect. It was then that the Kerry/McCain duo used the power of their government (senate) committee to punish their detractors. Initiating an investigation against them, using subpoena power to force them to give up their financial records, and left within the final committee reports, character defaming statements, unsubstantiated by any facts, intent on shutting them up forever. Here we have a documented case of John McCain participating in a conspiracy to use the power of his senate office, and the power of the committee to which he was assigned, to suppress his political opponents. Something very Nixonian in that certainly the Democrats will think. A little whiff of Watergate in the air which they will follow up and study very closely. Clearly, they will see that this is something that can be brought up to drive a wedge between McCain and all veterans, while only pointing out the misuse of committee power to suppress his detractors. The main point being, if McCain can use what little power he had at the time to shut up his detractors, what will he do when he has the power of the Presidency in his hands? The following Link is Ted Sampley's witness to this abuse of power that will take you into all of the various details of the situation. (Ted Sampley did two tours of duty in Vietnam, the first beginning in 1965 as a footsoldier in the U.S. Army, and the second as a member of the Special Forces, the Green Beret's, in 1969 - He faced the enemy in battle and survived with his honor intact).

Consider if you will the poison that can come out of McCain's mouth when it comes to shutting down those who oppose his political ambitions. It's amazing. Read his words. He is a consummate character assassinater. (Who can forget McCain's timeless slam against the Conservative base of the Republican Party, when he characterized them as "the agents of intolerance.") In his statements regarding Ted Sampley, he brought no facts or information to the table, only derogatory character slams. Who is Ted Sampley but a devotee of the interests of those who still may be held by the Communists in Vietnam? And who is John McCain, who rushes to brush this issue off the table, in hot pursuit of the very interests held so precious by those (Vietnamese Communists) who supposedly tortured him so cruelly? Who is this John McCain who rushes to serve the needs of his former captors, yet treats with disdain those who look to set the remaining captives free? Indeed, there is something here that stinks to high heavens.
All of the above points to the importance of the principles for which Fred Thompson stands, his First Being that of Individual Liberty. In his list of principles, this was at the top of the list. The POW/MIA situation discussed above, provides a scenario wherein you can assess John McCain's allegiance to that principle. It's like a laboratory petri dish in that respect. In the above drama you have two sides, one side leaning to do everything possible in the interests of those who are absolutely ANTI the principle of liberty, the Vietnamese Communists. On the other side, you have those who are trying to set free those American's who may still be held by these dictators, and at the same time, those who are very uncomfortable with doing anything that would make those dictators more wealthy, more powerful. Which side is John McCain on? That tells the whole story. He sides with the interests of the Vietnamese Communists, even at the same time as they may well be holding some of our own people still, even at the same time as they are crushing those in Vietnam who are the friends of freedom. How devoted is McCain to the principle of Freedom? You can see here, in a situation which asked him to express devotion to that principle, that he had no devotion to that principle to express. He had an opportunity to take that side, but he took the other side. He chose to give aid and comfort to the enemy, again. Pardon me, but the truth is the truth. You see what it means when we say stand strong. When you have the opportunity to stand strong for a core principle, then, that is when you must stand strong. Words that come out of your mouth at any other time do not matter. When you have the actual opportunity to stand strong, and you do not, that tells us that there is not a strong commitment to principle there.
On the Republican Side, we have certainly moved through several veils of political illusion, all of it supported by the mass media of course, and we are not done yet.
It should not be lost on us that the Mass Media drives the creation of these Mirages on the Horizon of the American Desert of Allegiance to First Principle.
