Saturday's TIME article explains why we need TN to make the effort to hit the polls Tue if they haven't alraedy. "With his name still on the ballot, Thompson is likely to win delegates from Tennessee even after his withdrawal. In 1996, Lamar Alexander — former governor and now a U.S. senator — withdrew as a candidate for president under similar circumstances and, despite his endorsement of Bob Dole, got 11% of the vote.Tennessee is not a winner-take-all state and under party rules a candidate needs 20% of the vote statewide, or in a congressional district, to win delegates. Thompson may well reach that threshold, leaving delegates committed to him for two ballots at the convention — unless he releases them." Find the quote at the bottom of the story. I've heard and read alot of stuff about the voters in Ten. in the last 2 days. Some are Fredheads and some have gone to Romney and Huckabee is trying to win Fredheads over because he really has no base in Ten. without them. After the whippin Fred gave him in the debate I can't see any Fred supporter going over to him.BUT some have.Alot of people have already voted for Fred and many more will.Fred's numbers will be pretty good I hope.

Maggie, I live in a border state of Tenn and the word I'm hearing is that Fred still has huge support there Everyone say some prayers tonight, and if you have time go to blogs or forums in newspapers that I posted earlier, and talk up the Fred write-in idea. Even if we only change just a few more minds, it might be a person that will convince their whole family to do the same.
